How to Check the Oil in a 2005 BMW

1. Park your 2005 BMW on level ground. Turn the ignition switch off and allow the engine to cool for at least 10 minutes. But be sure the engine is still warm since oil expands when it is hot and contracts when it is cold.
2. Raise the hood on your BMW. This can be done by bending down in front of the car. Look for the lever and pull up while lifting on the hood. Prop the hood open if there are no springs or hydraulic strut to hold it up.
3. Find the oil dipstick. It is located near the spark plugs with a loop at one end. If you can not find a loop, look for a T-stick. Grab the dipstick and pull it all the way out.
4. Wipe the dipstick clean of any oil. Slide the dipstick back into the hole and push it all the way in. Pull it back out and hold it horizontally.
5. Look at the very end of the stick. It is marked with a line that says 'Full.' If the oil is below the full line, you need to add more. Some BMW dipsticks have two lines with a cross hatch pattern in between. The oil level can be halfway between these two lines but no less.

Instructions for Installing a Mercedes CD Changer

1. Open the hood by releasing the lever on the driver's side. Loosen up the bolt that secures the negative battery cable to the battery, and remove the cable from the battery.
2. Pull the dash panel from the dash and reach behind the panel and pop the headlamp control switch from the panel.
3. Detach the main dash panel from the dashboard and locate the two levers on the sides of the factory radio. Pull down these two levers and the radio will release from the bracket. Remove the radio from the dock and also remove the stereo wiring plus the antenna cable from the rear of the system.
4. Slide the aftermarket CD player's installation sleeve into the stereo dock. Pull the stereo wiring and antenna cable to the front of the dashboard. Fold the metal tabs of the sleeve outward to bind it within the dock.
5. Locate the wiring harness adapter leads and insert the unit's wiring connectors into these leads. Connect the antenna cable lead into the antenna adapter and insert the wiring harness adapter lead connectors into the correct outlets, which are found on the rear of the CD changer unit. Take the antenna adapter lead and insert it into the FM antenna input on the back of the new CD unit.
6. Slide the CD changer into the installation sleeve and listen for the 'snap' sound; this means it is now secured in the stereo dock. Snap the dashboard panel back into place by pushing it firmly against the dash. Before pushing the left side of the panel into place, make sure you replace the headlamp control into the opening on the driver's side of the dash panel. Move on to the vehicle's battery.
7. Put the negative battery cable clamp onto the negative battery terminal and with the aid of a wrench, tighten the bolt on the clamp. Close the hood of the Mercedes.

How to Care for Your Audi S High

1. Purchase a leather cleaner with a pH balance from 5 to 5.5. Any higher pH balance, and you risk removing the tanning agents. Make sure that the leather is cool before cleaning
2. Dip a Microfiber cloth into water, until it is damp. Spray leather cleaner directly on the cloth. Clean one section of the car at a time, such as the driver's seat back. Wash gently, being certain to clean out the stitch lines. Dirt left in stitching can erode the thread, and cause the upholstery to rip apart over time. Use a soft leather brush on stained or especially dirty areas.
3. Rinse the washcloth thoroughly before moving on to clean another section. Wring out the cloth. Spray more leather cleaner on the cloth and move on to new section. Use a clean, dry towel to wipe down the leather after cleaning.
4. Make sure the car is more than 90 days old before applying leather conditioner since new cars will still have factory conditioned leather. Dip a clean Microfiber cloth in water. Spray a small amount of leather conditioner directly on the cloth. Wipe on leather lightly. Wait 30 minutes. Use a clean Microfiber cloth to lightly buff the leather. Make sure there is no excess conditioner remaining on the leather.

How to Install Navigation in a Mercedes

1. Charge the GPS device before using it for the first time. Depending on the brand of GPS you are using, it may be charged in different ways, such as through an electrical outlet or through a vehicle power cable. Many GPS brands also charge while connected to your computer via USB cable.
2. Mount the GPS in the Mercedes-Benz. Follow the specific directions that came with the GPS to properly mount the device. Most brands come with a suction-cup mount that adheres to the vehicle's windshield. The GPS then attaches to the mount.
3. Configure the device by choosing options such as your home address, preferred language and whether you want to display measurement units in miles or kilometers.
4. Acquire a satellite signal for the GPS. Drive the vehicle away from tall trees, buildings, parking garages or hills to get the best signal. Finding a signal for the first time may take a few minutes. When this is done, the GPS is fully installed.

How to Import a BMW to Canada

1. Verify with the Canadian Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) that your BMW is on the list of vehicles that are admissible to Canada. This varies depending on the model and year of your car.
2. Obtain recall clearance. Before bringing a BMW into Canada, you must have proof that the BMW model is not under recall. Acceptable forms of verification are a letter from the car's manufacturer or a printout from an authorized BMW dealership with the car's VIN on it. If the manufacturer of your model keeps a list of recalls on its website, the RIV will accept that as well.
3. Pass through U.S. Customs. When the vehicle crosses the border into Canada, U.S. Customs requires proof of the vehicle's ownership. The person bringing the vehicle will need to present to Customs the vehicle's registration, original title and two certified copies of the title. Customs needs to be notified 72 hours in advance of crossing.
4. Pass the Canada Border Service's Agency (CBSA) inspection. Once the vehicle crosses into Canada, CBSA agents will give you a Vehicle Import Form, check that your model is admissible, and collect the registration fee of $204.75. CBSA will then send the Vehicle Import Form on to RIV.
5. Fulfill the requirements of the RIV inspection form. After RIV receives the Vehicle Import Form from CBSA, they will issue an RIV inspection form, which will include any modifications that need to be made to the BMW in order to meet Canadian safety regulations.
6. Take the car to an RIV inspection center once any needed modifications are complete (these centers are as common as safety and emissions inspections in the United States). Once the car passes inspection, the center will affix a Canadian Statement of Compliance sticker to the vehicle.
7. License the vehicle in the province in which it will be located. For licensing, bring the title and proof of insurance to your province's vehicle licensing/registration center.
