How to Reset the Error Message on a Mercedes Benz

1. Purchase a 16pin OBD11 scanner, which will connect to your Mercedes and list current error codes. If your Mercedes was manufactured before 1994, you may have a 38 pin socket, which requires you to purchase a 38 pin scanner instead. Code scanners can be found on sites like eBay, Amazon and OBD2-scanner.com
2. Connect the OBD11 scanner into the port which should be located near the steering wheel by the dash. Each model Mercedes-Benz may have the connector port in different locations so refer to your owner's manual.
3. Start the vehicle and wait for any applicable error codes to appear on the scanner. Press either the erase or delete button depending on which scanner reader you purchased. Remove the scanner from the port and turn off the vehicle. Wait approximately 20 minutes and turn the vehicle on to see if the error code was erased.

How to Remove the Trunk Panel on a 2002 Audi Wagon

1. Place the Audi into park and activate the emergency brake. Pull the trunk release latch.
2. Go to the trunk and locate the eight screws along the bottom of the trunk panel that would normally be covered by the bumper when it is shut. Unscrew each screw with a Philips-head screwdriver; keep the screws somewhere safe as they will be reused with the replacement panel.
3. Go inside the rear of the station wagon and locate the four screws along the top of the trunk panel. Unscrew the screws with a Philips-head screwdriver. Keep those screws separate from the bottom screws as they are a shorter length.
4. Slide a flathead screwdriver into the seam between the trunk panel and the trunk frame. Gently work the flathead over the seam, starting from the top to the bottom of the trunk panel. Do not remove the panel yet, just get it to disengage from the trunk frame. Keep working the screwdriver until the entire trunk panel is standing slightly up. Then pull the panel off by hand, making sure not to pull too hard on any one side or the plastic will distort.
